TAP Family: C2C2_CO-like

Lagercrantz & Axelsson (2000): A family of CONSTANS LIKE genes (COLs) has recently been identified in Arabidopsis thaliana and other plant species. CONSTANS, the first isolated member, is a putative zinc finger transcription factor that promotes the induction of flowering in A. thaliana in long photoperiods.

This TAP family belongs to the Heteromeric CCAAT-binding factors structural class of the Other all-alpha-helical DNA-binding domains structural superclass, as defined in Plant-TFClass (Blanc-Mathieu et al. 2024)
